When I first came to the USA for my studies, I wasn’t very good at cooking. Living in San Francisco, where the cost of living is high, eating out or ordering delivery every day just wasn’t an option—and it wasn’t healthy either. So, I decided to learn how to cook.

Coming from Taiwan, a place filled with amazing street food, diverse flavors, and creative dishes, I was used to having endless food choices. Living in the USA introduced me to a variety of incredible cuisines, which inspired me even more to learn how to cook and explore new flavors.

Learning to cook not only helped me save money but also became a way to relax and unwind. After a long day of social activities, cooking felt like a reward—a moment just for myself.

Through this blog, I hope to share that same sense of relaxation and joy with you, and inspire you to enjoy the process of cooking as much as I do.
