Equipment

  • Soy sauce or Oyster sauce adding the amount to your preference
  • Sesame oil adding the amount to your preference
  • Black pepper adding the amount to your preference
  • White pepper adding the amount to your preference
  • Salt adding the amount to your preference
  • Garlic You can buy pre-minced garlic, or you can chop it yourself.
  • Ground pork adding the amount to your preference
  • Cabbage adding the amount to your preference
  • Mushroom adding the amount to your preference
  • Shrimp adding the amount to your preference

Method

Preparation:
  1. Add soy sauce to the ground pork and let it marinate
  2. Wash the cabbage, sprinkle salt over it, and let it sit for 15 minutes to draw out excess water. Then, squeeze out the water.
  3. Finely chop all the ingredients. (You can use a food processor for faster prep, but I prefer chopping by hand to avoid overly small pieces.)
  4. Mix everything well.
Making Dumplings:
  1. Wrap the filling in dumpling wrappers as desired.
Cooking Dumplings:
  1. I like my dumplings crispy on each side, so I flip them three to four times.
  2. With each flip, I add a little water to create steam and achieve a crispy texture.
